About the house

The Hospital Espiritual da Caridade Nossa Senhora de Fátima is a house of spiritual treatment located in the Medianeira neighborhood, in Porto Alegre. We receive people of all ages, origins and religions who seek relief, balance and support for the body, the mind and the spirit, in person or at a distance, and always free of charge.

We call our house a hospital because the care here is organized: each care session has its day, its purpose, and its follow-up. Those who provide care are the spiritual team of the house, together with volunteers trained in continuous study. We follow the teachings of Jesus, under the protection of Nossa Senhora de Fátima, and we work alongside medicine, never in its place.

Mission

To be a place of welcome and spiritual treatment that promotes the health and the integral balance of each person, strengthening the union between mind, body and spirit, with charity, gratuitousness and respect.

Vision

To be recognized, in Porto Alegre and by those who seek us from a distance, as a reference spiritual hospital for its seriousness, its welcome and its transparency, expanding spiritual care and social actions without ever ceasing to be free of charge.

Selfless charity

We serve without expecting anything in return. No care session is charged for and no help is a condition for being attended.

Welcome

Each person is received by name, with listening and without judgment, whatever their pain or their story.

Respect for all beliefs

The house is Christian in inspiration and open to everyone. No one needs to change faith to be cared for.

Faith with responsibility

Spiritual care is added to medical care. We do not promise a cure, we do not make a diagnosis and we never advise anyone to abandon a treatment.

Study and preparation

Whoever provides care prepares. The team studies continuously (as in the magnetism course) in order to serve with safety and serenity.

Teamwork

The strength of the house is not in one person, but in the union of the spiritual team with the volunteers and with those who arrive in prayer.

Transparency

We render accounts to those who help us and we state clearly what we do, how we do it and with what resources.

Compassion for all life

Care extends to those who are living on the streets, to those who struggle against dependency and also to the animals.

General objective

Offer free of charge spiritual treatment, in person and at a distance, that contributes to the integral balance of people, and extend charity to those who are in social vulnerability through the projects supported by the house.

• To care weekly for those who seek the house, with a clear schedule of treatments: spiritual surgeries, passes, magnetism, cobaltoterapia (spiritual technique that uses the energy of cobalt and supports balance and well-being), Terapia A.M.O.R. (Acolhimento, Misericórdia, Orientação, Reação: welcome, mercy, guidance and reaction), benzimento (traditional prayer blessing), phytotherapy and others.
• Take Distance Spiritual Assistance to those who cannot come to us, in Brazil and abroad, with simple guidance and a well informed schedule.
• To accompany each person after surgery (post-surgery evaluation) and refer that person to the care indicated by the team.
• Welcome and guide through fraternal support, with reserved and respectful listening.
• Train and prepare volunteers through studies and courses, so that the care rooms always count on qualified people.
• Spread spiritual knowledge with lectures and content open to the public.
• Support social projects: people living on the street (Amigos Voluntários), young people in recovery (Casa de Recuperação Jovem), abandoned animals (Doe Ração Campaign) and the Donations Central.
• Ensure sustainability and transparency, maintaining the house with voluntary donations and rendering accounts to those who contribute.
• Protect the data of those who seek us, especially health information, in accordance with the LGPD.

The house is open to any person who seeks spiritual support. Among those who seek us are:

people in health treatment who want to add spiritual care to medical follow-up

who goes through emotional pains: anxiety, sadness, grief, anguish

family members and caregivers who ask for help on behalf of someone they love

who is far away, in other cities and countries, or cannot get around, hospitalized or bedridden (through Distance Spiritual Assistance)

who wishes to study and serve as a volunteer

people and animals in vulnerability, reached by the social projects

People of all religions are welcome.

Spiritual treatments

In person and at a distance: spiritual surgeries without cuts, magnetic passes (passes), magnetism, cobaltoterapia (spiritual technique that uses the energy of cobalt and supports balance and well-being), Terapia A.M.O.R. (Acolhimento, Misericórdia, Orientação, Reação: welcome, mercy, guidance and reaction), benzimento (traditional prayer blessing), phytotherapy, fluidoterapia (spiritual fluid care), fraternal support, post-surgery assessment and Distance Spiritual Assistance. All are free of charge.

Social projects

Charity continues outside the care session rooms. We support the group Amigos Voluntários (people living on the streets, since 2018), Casa de Recuperação Jovem, the Campaign Doe Ração (shelter with more than 200 animals) and the Donations Center.

Study and training

Studying is part of care. The house keeps the magnetism course and holds talks on spirituality, self-knowledge and the health of the soul.

Free of charge

No care session is charged for, nor will it ever be. The house does not sell places and does not condition the care session on donations.

Volunteering

All the work is done by volunteers who donate their time and their gifts, at the reception, in the care session rooms, in cleaning, in the secretariat and in the projects.

Donations

The house's bills, such as energy, maintenance, supplies for the care sessions and food baskets, are paid by spontaneous donations. Each contribution, of any amount, helps keep charity with open doors.

Complementary to medicine

Spiritual care adds, it does not replace. We do not make a diagnosis, we do not promise a cure and we ask that each person keep their doctors, tests and medicines. In an emergency, seek the health service (SAMU 192). In intense emotional suffering, the CVV answers at 188.

Privacy and LGPD

We treat with special care the health and faith information that you entrust to us. We collect only what is necessary for the care session, with your consent, we do not sell or share data, and you can request access, correction or deletion whenever you want.

Transparency

Whoever donates has the right to know the destination of each contribution.

Free of charge and official channels

All care sessions are free of charge. The house only talks with you via WhatsApp 51 99245‑9445, by email [email protected] and through this site. If someone charges in our name, let us know.
